The new perspectives of Vityas

A brief interview with Aleksei Zhukovski, Director in Marketing and Quality of RUE Vityas.

"Euro news" acknowledged Vityas TV sets as the leading brand in Europe. The information about TV manufacturers from Vitebsk is put into Euro pages magazine - prestigious business guide of the channel. No other TV Manufacturer from CIS fell into this magazine.

"I am proud with our designers team" - says Aleksei Zhukovski, Director in Marketing and Quality of RUE Vityas. "In the developed technologies we are two steps ahead, comparing with other manufacturers. We have created the unique technology of digital TV production, and going to present it the nearest future. It will be the first high-class digital TV, not only in CIS, but, probably, in the whole Europe. High resolution, clear picture - that are the characteristics of the new set. Among other latest products of our research bureau are digital tuners for cable (DVB-T) and satellite (DVB-S) TV. Two models have already finished in development -so called "budget" model, and the more complicated one, with the possibility to receive "closed" (encrypted) channels.

The recent talks have mainly been concentrated on Luxor model...

— In fact, we have much ground for such talks. Luxor has become a leader among products sold this year. We have only 9 defect TV sets from 26 000 produced - it is almost zero percentage level. The set has improved color transition and picture contrast. It is based on elements, supplied by leading world manufacturers; we use only chip technology. You will not find the better TV set for this standard. It has 29" absolutely flat tube; PAL/SECAM, BG/DK and NTSC (AV) color systems; 60 channel auto tuning with frequency synthesis; channel TV reception; AV stereo sound; two head acoustic system of 3 W nominal power; balance adjusting; stereo base expansion mode. The model 72 CTV 720-2Nflat is equipped with NICAM system.

Is this the top level of designer ideas, or yet it is possible to create the "cooler" models?

— As far as the next spring, the buyer will get a new TV set series, named "Crystal". It will incorporate all the possible features, and functional possibilities used by leading TV manufacturers. Above that, we will finally turn to work with anti-static kinescopes.

Are you going to enlarge the net of special TV shop Vityas?

— Yes, we are. In the beginning of December we are to open two new shops in Minsk - at Mayakovski street and Partizanski avenue. In total, we will have 40 special shops in the whole country.

As far as I know, Vityas has extended the range of it's activities, starting the production of non-TV products.

— It is true, we are about to start the production of medical equipment. Some shops have already taken our quantum therapy units for sells. By the way, our medical devices were the subject of incredible interest and demand at the largest global exhibition of household electronics in Europe, IFA 2005, which took place in September, 7 in Berlin. The explanation, mostly, is that the treatment in Europe is rather expensive, while quantum therapy unit is appropriate in price, and therefore available even for average class clients. Above that, the range of it's application is rather large - it can be used for therapy, treatment of skin diseases, in gynecology, traumatology, stomatology (by the way, it completely eliminates parodonthosis). In total, Germany bought more than 2 000 sets.

What other medical equipment did you master?

— We have developed the immune ferment photoelectric analyzer. It is modern measuring equipment for effective diagnostics by immune ferment analyze and identification of AIDS, A, B and C hepatitis, tuberculosis, infection, oncology and other diseases. We also produce shaker incubator, used for probe preparation in immunology, biochemistry, microbiology and other areas of medical diagnostics as well as in food control labs and environment monitoring.

You have mentioned ecology, and, returning to TV sets, I want to ask you, is Vityas still being a leader in ecology?

— Yes. Vityas sets are the first and the only one holders of the diploma " Ecologicaly clear and safe products". Out manufacturing is certified by European quality standards VDE and CE, which allow exporting them into EU countries. We also have STB, RST, UKR Sepro, KST certificates, and supply TV sets accordingly in Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
